Accommodation: Ground floor - utility room, toilet, large kitchen with Aga cooker, open to dining room, leading through to snug with open fire and TV. Sitting room off the kitchen with large wood burning stove, double French doors to spacious garden and patio area, taking in the amazing views. Upper floor: 2 double bedrooms, one with en suite, 1 twin bedroom, master bedroom with TV. Exceptionally well equipped bathroom with free standing bath, double sinks, separate shower and WC Can be let in conjunction with the nearby Mill House that sleeps 4.

Woodside of Balhaldie Farmhouse has been restored to the highest standard with breathtaking views over the valley and River Allan, with welcoming log fires to unwind in front of after a long day golfing, hill walking, shooting or fishing. Equestrian facilities including stabling on site. Woodside offers the perfect central location situated between Gleneagles and the historic city of Dunblane. Glasgow (35mins) and Edinburgh (45mins) with excellent road and rail links. The Stirling University Campus lies between Bridge of Allan and Stirling, around 6 miles away.
Rarely does one come across a property so painstakingly restored by the two such knowledgeable owners, Woodside of Balhaldie farmhouse is by far the larger part of an original farm steading building. The farmhouse is approached from the A9, through large electric gates, with a 200 year old Mill House to one side, and the historic farm courtyard ahead. Instantly, one is transported into the bygone era of a traditional stone building that dates from the 1850’s.
The inside however is full of very high quality, well finished modern slate and solid oak flooring, a utility cloakroom, a dream kitchen with an Aga cooker and every modern appliance, an open plan feel to the dining area that ensures everyone will feel part of the party. Off the dining room is a snug where there is an open fire and television. The sitting room leads from the kitchen and it has a wood burning stove and doors that lead out to the spacious garden and sitting out and barbecue area. There is a pretty formal garden, very much in keeping with the house and open views across the hills.
There is ample opportunity to walk here and there is fishing on the river below the house. The closest Pub is the Sherriffmuir Inn, visitors' Tesco shopping can be delivered as well as food from an excellent local carry-out. And to give yourself a treat, there is the renowned Cromlix House Hotel and Restaurant nearby. With a number of excellent restaurants in Bridge of Allan, a popular shopping town near Stirling there is ample opportunity to sample the full range from fine dining to value for money wholesome food.
Braco, Blackford and Auchterarder are to the East, as is the world famous Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Courses (around 15 minutes by car). Dunblane is to the West, Stirling, the Carse of Stirling, the Fintry Hills and beyond to the Loch Lomond National Park. Edinburgh and Glasgow can be reached in around 40 minutes by car.
There are numerous visits readily accessible nearby including Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument, Bannockburn, Sherrifmuir, Ardoch Roman Camp, Auchingarrach Wildlife Park, The Red Kite centre at Doune, Doune Castle, Dunblane Cathedral, Stirling University lies between Bridge of Allan and Stirling. Many shopping experiences await at the outlet centres on the south side of the Ochils, excellent food shopping in Bridge of Allan, explore the antiques centre at Doune.
Easy day trips take you to Edinburgh and Glasgow, the pretty town of Crieff, Perth and Scone Palace, the NTS Branklyn Garden, Dunkeld Cathedral and lovely walks at The Hermitage. Into Fife, to Falkland Palace and St Andrews, Dundee, city of Scott's ship The Discovery, Falkirk to see the amazing engineering feat of the Falkirk Wheel.
