Property information
Adjoining the main house, with outlook down on to the bridge over the Glendy Burn, this attractive C17th Cottage has open views of fields, sheep, llamas and trees. The setting is picturesque and peaceful yet easily accessible from the M90 - 10 minutes Kinross (J8) or Perth (J9).
The village of Glenfarg is within 10 minutes walk of the cottage and has a shop with off licence, hotel and restaurant, garage, riding stables and tennis courts. There is good Loch and River fishing nearby and a great choice of golf courses, which includes St Andrews to the East and Gleneagles to the West.
Interesting local venues to attract and explore include Loch Leven Castle, Falkland Palace, Kellie Castle, St Andrews and the Fife fishing villages, Scone Palace, Pitlochry with its Festival Theatre and Fish Ladder and House of Bruar beyond and Blair Castle. Stirling Castle, Edinburgh, and the "Fair City" of Perth with its new Concert Hall and recreational facilities. These are all under an hour's drive away. Royal Deeside, Speyside, Loch Ness, Glencoe, The Trossachs, Oban and the West Coast are suitable for a day's expedition.
Within 40 minutes drive of Edinburgh the Millers Cottage is a comfortable and convenient base to relax in, to walk or enjoy sport from, and is perfectly located to tour central Scotland and the Highlands. Modernised in 2005/6 and with the use of period furniture, the property has most of the 'mod cons' guests are likely to require.
